The Mental Health Center nine story building was inaugurated in June 2016 and several departments have already been transferred to the new facility.
The Mental Health Center was established in January 2004 by founder and president of Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center, Dr. Moshe Rothschild, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, with the goal of addressing and treating mental illness in the community. The Mental Health Center aims to raise public awareness of mental health, and reduce the stigma and prejudice that prevent many individuals from seeking treatment. The Center addresses the needs of the patients while keeping their unique values, with a thorough understanding of their worldview and way of life. The Center employs over 65 staff members, including: psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, animal therapists, art therapists, music therapists, psychodrama therapists, movement therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, therapeutic gardening and Kung-Fu courses. In order to maximize treatment results, the clinic team conducts regular appraisal meetings with an integrated team approach.
